This disclaimer applies to all motorcycle and Car detailing services provided by Tiki Details (“we”, “us”, “our”). By booking, accepting, or receiving our services, you agree to be bound by the terms outlined below.

1. Services and Results

We provide professional hand washing, surface cleansing, machine polishing, paint protection (e.g., waxes, sealants, ceramic coatings), engine bay cleaning, chrome/metal care, tyre and rim detailing, and related tasks as specified in your quote.

• Variable Outcomes: Results are heavily influenced by the motorcycle's age, prior maintenance, and usage. We do not guarantee a "showroom" or flawless finish on vehicles with significant wear or deep-seated defects.

• Specialist Finishes: Certain materials (e.g., matte paint, anodised parts, carbon fibre, or delicate leathers) require specific care. While we use tailored methods, you must inform us of any non-factory finishes.

2. Pre-Existing Conditions

We are not liable for damage, corrosion, or defects discovered during the cleaning process that were previously hidden by dirt or grime (e.g., stone chips, oxidation, delaminating lacquer, or hairline cracks).

• Safety Checks: If we identify potential safety concerns during the service (e.g., fluid leaks or loose fasteners), we will pause work and notify you immediately.

3. Water Ingress and Electrical Components

• The Risk: Detailing involves the use of water and cleaning agents. While we take every precaution to protect sensitive areas, motorcycles feature exposed wiring, sensors, and connectors. There is an inherent risk of moisture ingress which may cause transient electrical faults.

• Customer Acknowledgement: By booking, you acknowledge that water exposure risk cannot be entirely eliminated. Tiki Details is not responsible for electrical malfunctions arising from standard detailing procedures, particularly on older bikes or those with compromised seals.

4. Product Usage and Curing

We use high-quality, commercially available products. If your motorcycle has a specific aftermarket coating or if you have chemical sensitivities, please inform us in advance. Some protective coatings require specific curing times; we will advise you if the vehicle needs to remain stationary or sheltered following treatment.

5. Handling and Security

• Routine Care: We exercise reasonable skill and care. We are not liable for incidental wear and tear or minor "character marks" inherent to the cleaning of a used machine, unless caused by our gross negligence.

• Electronics: Please ensure all alarms, immobilisers, and GPS tracking systems are placed in "Service Mode" or deactivated where necessary to prevent battery drain or false alarms during the process.

6. Personal Items and Accessories

Please remove all personal belongings (e.g., sat-navs, action cameras, luggage) prior to service. Tiki Details accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage of items left on the motorcycle.

7. Limitation of Liability

• Our total liability for any claim arising from our service is limited to the total fee paid for that specific service.

• Statutory Rights: Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any matter where it would be unlawful to exclude liability under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

8. Cancellations and Quotes

• Booking Fees: Cancellations made within [Insert Hours, e.g., 48 hours] may be subject to a cancellation fee.

• Quote Validity: Quotes are based on the initial assessment. If the motorcycle's condition is significantly worse than described (e.g., heavy mud, excessive grease), we reserve the right to adjust the price.

9. Insurance and Compliance

Tiki Details maintains public liability insurance suitable for mobile or studio-based motorcycle detailing. We operate in accordance with UK consumer protection regulations, ensuring services are carried out with reasonable care and skill.

10. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure the best result, you agree to:

• Disclose any recent resprays, smart repairs, or mechanical issues.

• Identify any aftermarket components or "delicate" modifications.

• Provide a safe workspace if the service is being performed at your location (including access to water/electricity if previously agreed).

11. Authorisation and Media

By proceeding with the booking, you:

1. Authorise Tiki Details to perform the agreed-upon work.

2. Consent to us taking photographs/videos of the motorcycle for insurance documentation and marketing purposes (social media/website). Please notify us in writing if you wish to opt-out of marketing use.
