Tiki Details Brings a 2002 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Back to Life At Tiki Details, we are passionate about car detailing. We believe that every vehicle deserves to look its best, no matter how old or neglected it may be. Recently, we had the pleasure of working on a 2002 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage that had been sitting idle for some time. The owner needed to sell the car and wanted us to bring it back to its former glory. The first step in the process was to give the car a thorough safe wash. We started with a pre-rinse, followed by a snow foam treatment, a two-bucket shampoo wash, and a final rinse. We then dried the vehicle using plush microfiber towels. This ensured that no dirt or debris remained on the car's surface. Next, we performed a full chemical decontamination to remove iron particles and road tar from the vehicle's paintwork. We also used a clay bar to remove all bonded contaminants, making the paintwork silky smooth. We then performed a single-stage machine polish to reduce the appearance of swirls and scratches while increasing the gloss and depth of the paintwork. Finally, we applied a three-year paint ceramic coating from Autobead. This coating provides exceptional gloss, micro-scratch resistance, UV protection, water behaviour, and ease of future maintenance. We are an accredited installer of Autobead coatings, so our customers can trust that they are getting a high-quality product.
